In November 2017, the irrigation district of San José de Belén was completed. It consists of an intake, sand remover, adduction, conduction, and discharge lines, and the irrigation system made up of irrigation and drainage channels. This work benefits residents of the rural areas of the municipalities of Garzón and Agrado of the department of Huila, promoting agricultural production and improving the quality of life for the population.
